It funded Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and Minamata Converntion on Mercury. We see that from the description option A is correct as Global Environment Facility serves as financial means for above organizations. Options B, C and D are incorrect as Global Environment Facility doesn’t involve in scientific research on environmental issues across the globe nor an agency under OEDC which transfers both technology and fund to underdeveloped countries.
