In this, Carbon dioxide and Methane are released in atmosphere. In case of human excretion when in contact with bacteria converted to methane and water by anaerobic digestion. This shows that statement 1 is incorrect. Under the bio-toilet, bio-digester tank is filled with inoculums having many bacteria types. The water trap system in the toilet prevents air from getting into tank where human waste gets processed by anaerobic bacteria in a tank by allowing methane gas to exposed to air. This shows that statement 2 is also incorrect, hence the correct option is D.
