Correct Answer: 1 and 3 only. Only statements 1 and 3 are correct. Indentured labour was a system of bonded labour that was instituted following the abolition of slavery. Gandhi fought against in South Africa and upon his return to India, his colleague C.f. Andrews continued the fight and ensured its abolition. On recruiting Indians in World War 1 to fight for British, Gandhi was of the opinion of helping Britishers, hoping that they’ll retaliate with same gesture and grant dominion status to India but was disappointed. Also, post salt march congress was declared illegal.
