Statement 1 : Article 128 of the Constitution provides that the CJI with the prior consent of the President of India, can request any retired Judge of a Supreme Court or a High Court to act as a judge of a Supreme Court for a temporary period. Statement 2 : In Pottakalathil Ramakrishnan v. Thahsildar, Tirur and Others case, 2021, Kerala HC held that being a Court Of Record, High Court Can Review its own Judgments Under Article 226 of the Constitution.
